The IVV: Fédération Internationale des Sports Populaires brings together 35 countries, representing more than 20 million fans of outdoor recreation. Walkers, cyclists... They put into practice this beautiful formula: "a day of trail = a week of health"
As for the Way of Saint Jacques, each hike is validated by a stamp on the international sports passport.
The IVV organizes international Olympiads every 2 years; it entrusts to a member country, the organization of these games offering hikes, cycling, swimming, geocaching, marathons, petanque.... and the discovery of a territory.
The 2019 Olympics were held for 5 days in Aix-en-Provence.
10,000 entries were registered for this sporting and tourism event involving 27 nations.
30 communes of the Metropolis Aix-Marseille-Provence were involved; 400 km of proposed hiking routes, 2 marathons entered the legend (La Routo and the Croix de la Sainte Victoire), 100 km of cycling routes, 1 Olympic pool line, from Geocaching, 1 Popular Discovery Walk, 1 Olympiad village and 140 volunteers to secure everything.
6 press articles, 3 related events, 3 radio broadcasts and the Metropolitan Com services, the Aix Tourist Office and the strength of the IVV International network (20 million contacts).
