Silvacane Abbey
In partnership with the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Silvacane Abbey is hosting a new edition of *Voix de Silvacane*, two evenings of music in the heart of the Cistercian abbey. Set against the exceptional backdrop of this historic monument, these concerts invite the audience to experience intimate, evocative musical moments where the voices interact with the venue’s unique acoustics.

“Songs We Carry” – Ana Silvera & Saied Silbak
The British duo Ana Silvera & Saied Silbak will perform their program “Songs We Carry” for the first time in France. Singer and multi-instrumentalist Ana Silvera showcases a folk-inspired vocal style, while Saied Silbak, singer and oud player, grounds his singing in the cultural heritage of classical Arabic chant. Together, they will explore the common ground between their respective heritages: the emotion and melancholy of Ladino (Judeo-Spanish) music and the richness of the maqams.

The Aix-Marseille University Vocal Ensemble (Ev’AMU) & Alessandra Soro
Under the direction of Philippe Franceschi, the Aix-Marseille University Vocal Ensemble (EV’AMU) performs a polyphonic repertoire, joined as a guest by Sardinian singer Alessandra Soro, returning to the Festival after participating in the OJM’s collective composition sessions. Her interest in the author—also Sardinian—Michela Murgia and her novel Accabadora, which inspired one of her songs, creates a fitting connection with the world premiere, in July, of Francesco Filidei’s opera based on the same source, featured in the Festival’s program.
