It all began in 1985 when two brothers, Gérard and Christian Philip, opened a conservatory to protect the characteristics of an iconic horse breed, the Lipizzan. The Lipizzan is an imperial Austrian court horse, associated with the Spanish Riding School and one of the oldest purebred horses in Europe. It is a versatile, intelligent horse that's full of character and very familiar with man.
The Conservatory in La Roque d’Anthéron is now the top private stud farm in Europe and the Philip breeders have set a benchmark in the equine world. The horses are destined for great careers in performance, working equitation or harnessing, dressage and competition. You'll explore a unique site !
